A visit down town

We went out for a walk tonight and realized it was Window Wonderland! Santa came but Lucy didn't care "because he's not the real Santa anyway" so we ignored the crowds of overtired parents and their whiny kids and did some other fun stuff instead :)

Daddy Daughter Dance :)

Grei and Lucy are out on the town tonight at her first dance :) They really needed some one-on-one time with each other and I desperately needed some one-on-one time with myself! They did have a great time and Lucy was the only girl there with a singular name. They did up favours with all the girls' names on them and apparently every name was at least doubled except for hers. I never though Lucy (even as a nick name) would be as unpopular as it is. We can't even find personalized stationary, cups, shits, etc. for her in stores, they have to be special ordered. But I digress... here's a cute photo of them before the dance, all dressed up and somewhere to go!

We Voted!

We voted early today :) Lucy was very happy that she got to tag along and learn all about the election process. I even let her push the button to finalize my vote. She was also (sadly, sooo sadly) able to educate a young adult on what the Ohio flag looks like and told them which line to stand in since they had the pink form rather than the white one which they would have known had they been paying attention. Sometimes I wonder what the world would be like if all children were schooled at home by intelligent adults rather than pushed through the public school system like chattel.
