Lucy paused her movie, sat next to me on the couch with a new library book and started silently reading to herself. She hasn't yet asked me for help with any words (even though it's a level ahead of what she usually reads) and she's very into her book. I am so glad I have a kid that loves reading!
She finished and said "I just did 32 pages in one day! I did not know I could read that fast all in my head all super fast!" Now she's digging in the bag for another book.

The Government - A 6 Year Old's Perspective
Lucy, my 6 year old, is full of profound wisdom. She says "The government looks good but acts horrible."
