April In A Nutshell...

April 4 - Lucy is talking about how hard it is to eat an apple that's not cut up. She says, "I think as you advance through the apple it gets more difficult." Seriously kid? You do realize you're in the first grade of elementary school, not college?

April 10 - If you want to win a bake off competition, the key is Nutella. This is the 2nd year in a row Lucy's won with Nutella no bakes! We used the same recipe this year as last year but added in cherries. Congrats, Lucy  On the 21st she goes on to the service unit level and goes up against all the local Daisy troops. 

PS - she got 2nd place at the service unit level for the bake off. She was actually super happy about 2nd place because she got a big red ribbon and next year she is hoping for 3rd so she can get a big yellow ribbon and have the whole set!  I seriously just love this kid to pieces!

Lucy's First Real Haircut

Lucy got her first real big kid hair cut today  She finally got sick of all the tangles and asked for it to be cut off to avoid the screeching banshee battles every week. She's super excited for people to not call her a preschooler anymore. She says this haircut "definitely makes me look seven" hehe 

March, In A Nutshell...

March 1 - We took Lucy to see the LEGO movie yesterday. I highly recommend it to anyone, whether you have kids or not. It was quite entertaining 

March 2 - My kid never ceases to amaze me with her ability to be exactly who she wants to be  Today while shopping, she chose a full outfit from the "boys" section as well a giant plush rainbow unicorn head for her bedroom. I will take photos and post them at some point tomorrow. I just wanted to share her awesomeness with our facebook crew hehe

- Also, is my child the only one in the universe that never ate play-doh, made pictures with her poop, sneezed out boogers the size of her head or threw her dinner all over the floor? These things have never happened in our world. I would complain that I'm somehow missing out on those "real" parenting experiences, but I'm kind of glad if that's the case!

-Allllso wtf is with the price differences between "boys" and "girls" clothing?? We spent $31 with tax for a pair of cargos, two tees, a hat and sunglasses at a MALL store. At same said store, we would have paid $31 with tax for a dress.

March 27 - Lucy lost another tooth tonight, right in the middle of our Girl Scout meeting. She was busy being angry and shouting that someone touched her cookies and then chomped down hard on said cookie and POP!
